Hi,
I have been having trouble activating my Maxwell V3 license. I have created image links below to show a breakdown of where the troubles are happening when i try to license the product.
Hope someone can help, its very frustrating!! I think the same problem was also happening back along with my v3 sketchup plugin.
Thanks

Hello,
The error states "License server not running". This means you haven't installed an RLM server, which is needed if you have a floating license.
When you received your license email, there are links there that point to the install and licensing instructions, with clear step by step instructions:
http://support.nextlimit.com/display/mx ... +Licensing
This is part of your license email:

I am having this same problem and it is very frustrating trying to get support from NextLimit to help me fix it.
I have run the RLM License Server Script from the Maxwell 3 installer. I get a message that says that the RLM Server was installed in the right directory. I've even seen the folder it creates on my mac. I have restarted the mac like it instructs you too. But when I try to activate the license, I get that same error message that the RLM Server is not running. I have had to manually put the LaunchDaemon file in my Library folder because the script didn't install it like it was supposed to.
Still no luck. I restart my Mac and am still not able to to activate Maxwell because it says the RLM server is not running. I have tried entering in the "localhost:5054" into a browser window and there so control panel. So either the RLM server is not being installed, or it's not being launched.
I have tried deleting the RLM server folders and re-installing the file a couple of times. No luck. I don't know what else to try.
I have been waiting for days for someone from NextLimit to contact me to help me resolve this. If ANYONE has any ideas how to help me get this working, you will be my biggest hero.
Thanks.
D
I am using a MacPro with OS X 10.10 (Yosemite)

Hi David, I have sent your message to our OSX developer but as it has been the weekend, and also today was a national holiday in Spain I expect him to get back to you tomorrow (Tuesday). Your problem is not so related to this issue (which is simply the fact that he didn't know that RLM is also needed if you have a floating license). Your problem seems more exotic as to why the RLM server refused to run on your particular machine.

Cool. Thanks.
I did get an email from the OS X developer.
Unfortunately the installer he sent me still seems to have problems. I got an error message that says that the installer was damaged and that I should delete it.
Hopefully we can get something that works

In OSX this message occurs when you have selected "Mac App Store" in "Allow download Apps" into System Preferences/Security/General.
Try to select one of the other two options.
