Displacement resolution problems

I created some displacement maps for a simple lap siding texture and a corrugated metal texture.

The texture for the lap is 200 pixels x 200 pixels for each board.

My problem is that it only achieves the desired look after 200 subdivisions, and @ 200 subdivisions per lap board I am crashing (running out of memory, I only have 16GB). I'm trying to apply this to 20 3 story townhomes and it is way too much.

How can I get the look with lowering the memory usage? I was going for pretesselated to keep render times down.

Here is a link to the Maxwell material files:

Please show some screenshots in textured decal mode and an example render. Have you tried making the base geometry more subdivided in your modelling app, so you don't need so many subdivisions in displacement?

here are a couple of views.

I'm using Rhino, I'll try breaking us the base geometry more and report back

yes, creating a mesh with higher poly's helps. I just need to figure out how to get my surfaces meshed to a higher count in the Rhino export now

Dont use displacement for this, try modelling it. Disp works best for organic shapes.
