Tone Mapping question with EXR

I have set up a EXR and it has a more cyan yellowish tone. That's exactly what I want. Now if I render and use Adobe / sRGB it looks OK. Now if I switch to ProPhotoRGB it looks more violet. The first attempt to fix it was to go in PS and look at the colors in the different profiles. Now the behaviour is the same. So I set the profile to Adobe RGB and fixed the color to match the result in my target profile. But that didn't work. The EXR file is still looking bad @ProPhotoRGB and good @ AdobeRGB in the renderer. It seems to have something to do how the engine handles the file?

Don't really understand your question?
Images will look different if you apply a different color profile to them in photoshop or any other place (assign profile in photohsop). If you need to convert your image file to another profile, just use convert to profile and Photoshop will try and match the colours on screen for you.

Yes it's a bit complicated. I'm very picky about color, someone might say I'm a color-nazi. However i fixed the issue when I was experimenting with the settings. It has a lot to do with tone mapping and color levels. I'm writing a tutorial about real life daylight setups in Maxwell Render.
