First Post! Unfortunately I am having a terrible time thus far. Downloaded Maxwell Render V3 Learning edition (architecture student). After following installations instructions I try to open Maxwell. I receive these error messages:

“Maxwell” can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash. (Safari downloaded this file today at 6:24 PM from portal.nextlimit.com)

I Click the ? mark to see this message:

The app’s authorization has been revoked
Although this app was signed by an identified developer, the certificate for the app has been revoked. There may be a problem with the app, and it cannot be opened.
Check with the Mac App Store or the software developer to see if there is an updated version of this app.

I am running OS X Mavericks V10.9.2
3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
8gb 1600 MHz DDR3

I am crunching for a final review and about to lose my mind.... Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Exactly the same happened to me today. In my case I tried to redownload from Safari instead of Chrome. Not sure what exactly helped — either just downloading again or changing the browser but now the gatekeeper is happy, all opens fine.

Hope this helps.

Hey man, thanks for the help! You inspired an idea that worked!

I wiped out every shred of Maxwell software from my iMac. Then, downloaded it all through the Windows side of my machine (parallels). Zipped it, drop-boxed it, then retrieved it on the Mac side. Worked like a charm. Guess it is all about fooling gatekeeper.

Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all,

This problem should be solved, downloading again from the server should make it work again as expected with any browser.
