Missing Part of Render

Hi all,
I woke up this morning to find this render after 12 hours. As you can see it's missing a large chunk, it was fine when I checked it after 2 or 3 hours. When I open up the mxs file and resume it still shows up. I'm running it on an old Macpro 2xquadcoreIntelXeon (2008) with 10gb ram. The alpha image is fine.
Is this a symptom of running out of memory do you think? Original image size is 3600 x 2258

Thanks,

Des

Can you check if one of the materials (probably an sss one) has trans set to 255 (possibly via a map).

Not really sure what you're asking Eric. I'm not using any sss materials.
Are you talking about the alpha images for transparencies such as railings and leaves?

Thanks again,

Des

I don't think it's the memory, I just rendered this on Rebus farm and a similar error happened...

Really frustrating.

Do you have glass materials with trans at 255? thats all I know really, maybe an issue with clipmap/alphas in mw3, send them the file?

I was able to recover a version of the render using time machine which was at a high enough SL to use. So the error happened at around 5 to 6 hours into the render. And I was able to run off a couple more as well :D

Thanks guys for all your suggestions and your time, I'll go through the materials and check.

Best Regards,
