We're having intermittent issues with the floating license for V3 on a network of three iMacs running Mavericks. Maxwell Studio requires the license activator each and every time it opens regardless of how many times the license has been activated in either the render or within the plugin for our modeling program. We've also noticed that the sleep/wake cycle of any of the machines (either the RLM server or the slaves) can cause the license to drop .

We've tried various resolutions related to file permissions surrounding the license file, updating RLM and re-installing. Any other ideas?

No solution but I have exactly the same problem on OSX 10.7.5 which was a pain until today but now has become a massive problem as I can't validate the licence. It's Saturday, I'm in the UK and I have clients in the US awaiting renders who've come into work specifically to see my results. WTF can I do?

Can't connect to the customer gateway (which I guess is related to the validation problem) so I've posted to the support area but God knows how long that will take. I'm right up s**t creek today. Could be my first and last job for a major blue chip client.
