question about the licensing plans ..

well I've read about it here but still couldn't understand for sure ... sorry I'm dumb.
Node locked license means I get only 2 computers running maxwell render and that's it, right ?
Floating license is coming with 10 render nodes, so I don't understand it: Does it mean that I can install maxwell on 10 computers but can render only through a manager computer?
or I can open maxwell render and not studio? I know there is an answer somewhere in the forum but I didn't find it ...
If I upgrade one of my licenses to a floating one, can I open a render window on each computer and render a different scene on it ?
Am I limited to using maya on 1 computer with maxwell and rendering only the same scene on all render nodes and cannot use maya on another computer after finishing the first scene?
I don't understand, sorry :(

You can use as many instances of Maxwell or/and Studio on the same computer at the same time as you want - with either a node locked or a floating license.

A node locked license means you can run Maxwell only on that particular computer.

1 floating license lets you run Maxwell on any of your computers you choose to install it on but only one instance of Maxwell/Studio/plugin may run at the same time in your entire network. If you want two people to use Maxwell GUI, Studio, a plugin at the same time, then you need two floating licenses, or one floating, and one node locked if you want.

A node license is for network rendering. It doesn't allow you to use Maxwell GUI, Studio or plugins. It's a render node. Just like V2 render nodes.

So if you have a floating license, you can create/edit Maxwell scenes on one computer, then send the render through network rendering on 11 computers (the one which uses the floating license + the 10 render nodes).

There is no separate install of "Node" Maxwell or "Real" Maxwell. You just install it on all computers. Check the docs for the licensing step by step instructions and follow them exactly as written.

I beg to differ. There is "Real" Maxwell with liquid licensing.

The granularity is very coarse, though; you have to blur in post production with an H2O filter at ~100°C. I bought an upgrade last week for 10 cups. Well worth it.
