Floating license - Network + laptop

Hi!

I own a floating license (with 10 nodes) and usually work in my network but occasionally I use the laptop to work away from my office. I'm the only user of the license. How should I proceed to license the laptop for it to be usable when I'm away from the network?

Thanks!

Should I install the RLM server in the laptop too and activate it without connecting to the RLM server in the network? (wasting the second of the three activations)

I think this would be the way to go. The other possibility (which would be necessary for companies with several people having to work on a laptop) would be to establish a VPN connection to your office network, but that is a lot of effort to set up, only for a licenses connection ...

I believe you can check out a license from RLM for usage away from network.

Install the RLM on your laptop, I'd say. I was in the same boat and did it that way; but VPN is not difficult to set up these days, too.
