Hi,

I recently purchased Maxwell Render v3 Learning Edition.Even though the feature list says the max resolution is 1920x1080 all my renders are getting locked at 1526x858.
Am I doing something wrong or has the resolution limit been lowered? Please help!

Learning edition also rescale resolutions below the limit. Already pointed that out on another thread but got no answer.

Maybe this is fixed in any of the betas, did you try?

Finally,thanx for replying! No I haven't tried out the beta yet.Yes it's pretty sad that the final image is scaled down.
I figured since it said full HD I'd get the option to output full HD renders.Guess it might be fixed with an update.

So I tried the beta v3.0.0.3 and unfortunately the problem still exists . Maybe this needs a fix?

For students of architecture the "learning" edition is pretty much useless as the images would finally have to be printable. If you are a student and want to produce for digital media, the arbitrary rescaling makes the whole thing useless too. But in my experience, sales will help once you verify as a student.

Anyway, you should be able to correctly render some frames in HD for your private projects if you paid for a product that claims to support resolutions "up to 1920x1080" not "anything we choose that is below 1920x1080"

Yes I am a student,not of architecture but of Computer Science.I'm pursuing my Masters and hope to
write my thesis (eventually) on Computer Graphics.I chose Maxwell for the physical accuracy thinking I
could check out material parameters and shading models to better understand them.The full HD renders
would be a plus if it weren't for this rather annoying problem.

The renders don't go above 1.3 megapixels.If i change the aspect ratio it is automatically scaled down
to 1.3 mp no matter what.Anyway,thank you again for your input.Really hope this gets fixed.

I can confirm it was a bug in Maxwell code and will be solved in the next beta when it comes out.

The new beta v3.0.0.4 fixes the issue with the resolution being locked.Please mark this thread SOLVED.
