What does the Low Value and High Value do in the Noise3D setting of the VolumeObject?
I keep changing them and nothing changes.. except when I change the high value to 0 and then there is no more volumetric object that renders.

Hello 3dtrialpractice,
They are the black and white clamp you usually have in any Noise procedural.
With the Low Value you can raise the black point, moving your dark greys to black, while lowering the High Value you can lower the white point, moving light greys to be considered pure white.
This is why moving your High Value all the way to 0, you convert every value into 100% density.

I suspected something like this. thank you for clarifying.
But adjusting the values my volume cube does not look any different. Maybe Its broken connection via maya plugin? I will try in studio and try to upgrade to beta 3.0.03

also says that "-Fixed volumetrics with opacity" does this mean we can texture a gradient ramp to the volumetric object now to have a volumetric faloff effect???
