Procedural brushed steel texture?

hi guys, just playing arround with the new procedural texures in maxwell. how would you go about to create a brushed steel procedural texture. is it even possible with the new modifiers?

To summarize, we will continue improve them in future 3.x updates.

Tiling the procedural noise in one direction should do it nicely.

right..... BUT.... did he mean to just scale tex texture or is he telling me to scale the noise in the procedural edit window somehow---
that's by the way me being really stupid right now, haha

voronoi give more better result ; the points move in one direction
use this setting and play

, and you can add layers with different seeds and rotation and details
