New installer (2013-12-11) - same version number?

I just wanted to install v3 on the rest of my nodes and noticed that the downloadable installer (win x64) now has got a new release date (2013-12-11) but the version number is still the same (3.0.0.0).
So what has been changed here? Do i have to remove the "old" installations and use the new one.

never mind...
i have just run the "new" installer without uninstalling it and it seems to work fine.
And the licensing problem on the new nodes seems to be gone with the "new" installer. But maybe this is just a coincidence...
