Maxwell Render V3 - Performance Analysis - Linux / Windows
Posted: Sun Dec 08, 2013 8:14 am
I made some tests using the new Benchwell V3 with Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows (X64):
System Specs: 4x Opteron 6276 @ 3.60 GHz - 32GB RAM
Windows Server 2003 X64

3m21s - 1392.98
The status indicator doesn't seem to work right here
(Remaining: 1m02s). When I close the Benchmark Window it shows completed @ SL 14.00
Windows Server 2008 X64 R2

4m06s - 1133.03
Linux Ubuntu X64

5m58s - 779.06
What surprises me is, that Maxwell Render V 2.7 used to be much faster on Linux (Opteron-MP) than on any Windows Server X64 (2003/2008/2012). Now it turned around and Maxwell Render V3 is very slow on the Linux platform.
Is there any reason for that?
By the way - Could you please add the AMD Opteron 6276 ES - AMD Eng Sample, ZS232545TGG45_32/23/20_2/16 (ES) to the Database of Benchwell V3.

Submitting Results with these didn't work with Benchwell V2.7.
