I'm using Maxwell V3.0 for Cinema 4D R14-R15
DEBUG: - Preprocessing additional parameters.
My render wouldn't start rendering it's Stock on this "DEBUG: - Preprocessing additional parameters." in maxwell render.
Any pointers I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks
Jehu

Hi, I would suggest to post this first of all in the C4D forum, more likely that the plugin developer will see your message there.

What are you using in your scene? Any extensions etc? Please try to hide things or switch off options to try and see what's the cause.

The message he copied is one from the Maxwell Render console, Mihai -- I can't really tell him much more about it.

Yes I figured that :) Just thought you might have seen that error message already, in conjunction with some extensions or instances etc. used and C4D.

Unfortunately, I don't recall having seen that message yet.

Probably the most important thing to find out is what the CPU is doing during this time. People often say things crash, or hang, when there is really just some work being done, which is taking awhile. My guess is that we will see this somewhat often in relation to pretesselated displacement in V3, since the meaning of Subdivision Level can be so different between the Flat and Catmull/Loop types -- where you might need to use a value of 80 for flat subdivision, a value of 5 for catmull/loop might easily consume all the memory on the machine.

Not that I necessarily think this issue is specifically related to that, but it is the type of thing I'd check. And regardless, we need to know the CPU & memory usage.
