question about override map.

is it possible to have more than one override map in a material so you could have a couple of grouped texture tiling at different rates?
Also, i'm not sure if it's a bug in the override map but the little textured map slot in the material doesn't switch from grey to colored if you're using an override map.

It's not possible in this sytem, only one set of projection properties to use as an override is allowed. The map is not ment to work because you are only overriding the projection properties, not also the textures themselves. It can be a bit confusing but we do need to open a texture picker to show these override properties. Maybe using a different icon than the standard texture icon is better...

gotcha, thanks mihai. Yeah, i figured the map icon wasn't actually supposed to work in the way that you could insert a map, although I think it would be helpful to have some indication that you are using the map override in a material (even it's just showing the map icon as colored instead of greyed out).
The way it's setup right now, there's really no quick easy indication that a map override is being used, which I think could be a little confusing. It seems this could potentially cause a lot of wasted troubleshooting time if your material tiling is acting whacky.

Right, I really agree, we will add another icon for when a texture has the ovveride map parameter checked.
