I put a post on CGtalk because at the time I didn't have access to this forum to post yet. It was deleted for some reason. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to the Next Limit team in lowering the price point of Maxwell LE to the same level as RealFlow 2013. That is much appreciated and I think the price reduction and making the license option simply perpetual, along with the restrictions is perfect for the hobbyist base, which I am in.

Perhaps part of it is psychological, but I couldn't simply go with a non perpetual license at the V2 price point. I wish SideFX would have kept the same policy with their HD version past 11.1 It just makes more sense considering my and probably a lot of other people's circumstances and practicality to want the perpetual license, just in case it became an economic issue to upgrade to a next major release. I can't fully explain it and probably nobody really cares but it makes it so much easier to want to upgrade to future versions knowing that the perpetual option is available as it stands. As a hobbyist and not from your "commercial" base, I hope to participate and give back to the general community when and how I can. I think some of the perspective from people not in the business can be useful to a product's success.
