Shouldn't matter, as long as you place a 90mm disc 10 meters away from the camera and it looks as big as the sun.

The sun "looks" bigger to our eyes because either our brain magnifies it or we are used to photos taken with telephoto lenses (magnifying everything including the sun)

Thomas, the sun radius multiplier of 1x should give the same sun in the previous versions. Do you mean Maxwell might have a problem with this radius not physically matching the real sun?

Yes 1 is the same as before, but IF that website is correct about the 0.533 degrees then that = 1.9 radius,

I didnt test what 12noon looked like from ecuador... just the default sky.

I have never tested the sun radius in the past. It is possible it was too small all along.
If Eric did the disk-test right, then it seems 1.9 (or say 2) is the correct radius that should be used as default (I don't have v3 to test personally and don't have v2 or Rhino set up on this new machine).

So, 1x was correct then. Possibly Eric used a 90mm radius (as opposed to diameter) during construction.

the sharpness of shadow can change at the same time in the same place according to the air condition so we need control the radius or studio need "air condition" option
you obviously haven't tried the latest and greatest smokin' hot beta have you?
