Viewport rendering stops by itself after 1-2 minutes - any ideas?

Also, the viewport rendering is written to C:\Program Files\Next Limit\Maxwell 3\default.png although I specified a folder where Photoshop opens it?

Both viewport rendering and its output location used to work without problems...

Studio also opens very slow - weren't there some preferences in the system one can delete to get back to speed? It always hangs on "Creating Menus..." for a long time and opening an MXS with little polygons and no materials referencing remote hard drives, etc.
