I can not belive that tiling is not possible. Only the uv coordinates must be multiplied. Some where I have seen an image of a bug with tiling effect.

but...it's a problem of rhinoll plugin or other plugins have the same problem too (max, for example)?
Any of the plugins comes with texture coordinates, they use the application ones, and I think this is due to NL is doing his own texturing system for the standalone. Max, Maya, Lightwave has its own advanced texturing systems but Rhino..........

..but I don't think this is because Rhinoll is getting less development time than Mayall or Maxl, maybe those programs are more complete if we are talking about texturing by themselves, don't they?

Yes. It is not due to next limit not developing texture control. 3ds, Maya, etc alerady had decent texture control and this is what the maxwell plugins use at the moment.

Rhino just doesn't have this at the moment, which is kind of sad. We will either have to wait for the maxwell standalone which will have its own texture control, or wait for rhino 4 and nl to develop a plugin for that. Seems like a whole lot of waiting just to get textures on our models basically

Yes, Rhino does not have advanced texturing controls out of the box, which means that a plugin developer would have to work twice as hard to supply such tools.

Now working twice as hard for one plugin is probably not fair for the others when NL is trying to give equal treatment to all. Plus why spent twice as much time on one plugin when there are still 12 plugins pending and people waiting ?

MatadorLight is my great hope for the moment, but I get not the camera at the right place. I think, it is a bug, because it is inpossible to change the focal distance. The question is, is the Rhino export the problem or ML or I'm to stupid as ML camera man. :)

Simon,

I have voted yesterday.

Can you import Rhino obj in ML and change the focal distance? If I try it, only the numerical value change, but not the view.

I ask in the Rhino forum for tiling, here the answer:
Micha

It really has nothing to do with us. Maxwell is the only rendering plug-in
that doesn't support tiled textures as you know.

Mental ray, Vray, Final render, Brazil...etc , doesn't come with texture tools so is it Maxwell or is it Rhino? the eternal question.
In Spain we use to say " Cada maestrillo tiene su librillo" that means "Every little master has his own little book"

sicro, texture in control is supossed to be implemented in the final version of Maxwell standalone , so maybe is not so productive to implement it now in Rhinoll (this just would be implemented only for Rhinoll, not for Maya,Max,Lightwave,Cinema4d,....plugins)
