There was a beta party, and Rhino users weren't invited. Boo hoo. Look at my avatar, this is what I am doing now.

With no materials applied, it can get up to level 11 before it crashes. With materials the runtime error is instant.

Only I hope the quality of the plugin and the developing speed will be better in the future. Every time I install a new rhinoll I need only some minutes to get a bug. Do nobody test the plugin befor?
Maybe, the NL team is to small for all this work.

This is what I am wondering. How can you put out a plug that crashes with the first thing you would naturally do which is put a material on something. The simpliest of test would have revealed this. Oh well they are probably overworked and tired. I bet it will be fixed tomorrow.

Yep...disappointed!...But we still can used the old plug-in with maxwel 1.2. This can work very good

. So no need to be so sad. Actually, I'm already very happy to get the beta. There is really some big improvment.
Thank you NL Team

thats not too bad then. but does it have the speed acceleration and other benefits from the new beta engine?
well, let me find out.

I'm testing it...
Anyway, maxwell is the application and rhinoll just a plug-in. So if you improved maxwell, rhinoll should accept this improvment like the speed optimization. But I think you can forget the SSS, HDR... because the old rhinoll as no link to used these new features.
Hope you can understand what I mean

The old Rhinoll version does have the absorption and scattering options on diffuse and plastic materials (not sure if they are hooked up behind the scenes though)
