I will never get tired...

... of saying Thank you, JD!!!!

Today I see the share of rendering increasing into my day to day routine. So I wen't trying everything that renders from Rhino. Let's have a hack in the tool box.

Brazil has a solid interface, well integrated. We can see textures in real time and the windows are well designed. I really don't like the way they are stuck together and the navigation between objects. That's Studio Max 1.0 revisited.

VRay looks poor, not very well resolved. Prototype level.

RhinoAir misses a bunch of screens. Pre JD maxwell plugin level at best.

None of them has the quality of the Maxwell plugin. And I mean all round quality. Host app integration, controls behaviour, organization, art direction and documenteation. Ahead by a big fat mile. Even the Studio interface, from where a big chunk is derived, feels so right. The camera LCD is unbeatable.

Thanks JD, Next limit!

You are right Ricardo. Jeremy really does a fabulous job!
You forgot one aspect of his work however - the customer support in this forum.
After Thomas layed down this job a couple of years ago I did not believe that someone could fill the
the gap he left. I was wrong.

Nice summation Ricardo. By a big fat mile. It's a first class professional plug-in for professionals.

Hey, I heard there was an ass kissing festival in town. :P

Just kidding, I'm looking into Rhino, good to see the plugin is strong.

+1

it has evolved very rapidly to a very high quality , and in combination with the new 64bit rhino, also the host application can handle big scenes.

.. and as it looks we dont have to be afraid of animating things anymore either.. what i was hoping for.. a rewrite of bongo:

http://news2.mcneel.com/scripts/dnewswe ... 1098&utag=

comes now with IK and finally a curve editor.. sounds promising for medium complex stuff.

Really, thanks for the nice words all, they're very encouraging and appreciated. And thanks for your patience - I know some of this stuff has taken awhile to realize, and that nothing is perfect, and there's always more work to do...so just keep on with your good feedback and we'll continue on as we've been. Cheers! :)

Just read this... I have to chime in as well! Jeremy has made a terrific plugin and has never been content with "good enough", we have had new releases that consistently get better. Also, the support on this forum and others has been awesome... I would likely have become VERY frustrated with the learning curve here but Jeremy has made it a very comfortable place to ask your questions regardless of your knowledge level. Thanks again JD!
