As noted in the Announcements section, version 1.8.3 of the Maxwell for Rhino plugin is now available...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maxwell for Rhino version 1.8.3 Release Notes

Maxwell Render for Rhino version 1.8.3 is released mainly to provide compatibility with, and installers for, the Rhino 5 WIP releases, both x86 and x64. When using the x86 installer, the plug-in will be registered with Rhino 4 (as with the existing 1.8.2 plug-in, the minimum Rhino version required is Rhino 4 SR5) as well as the Rhino 5 x86 WIP, if it is installed; the same plug-in is used for both versions. The x64 installer is only applicable in the case that you have installed the Rhino 5 x64 WIP. Both plug-ins may be installed concurrently on the same machine.

For details on the many changes and additions included in plug-in version 1.8.2, please see the release announcement for that version.

Fixes:
  • A file IO error could occur when using the MXM Browser to delete MXM files
  • A file IO issue would occur if a custom default was set in the Scene Manager's Output tab
(note: if you have used the workaround of installing the SolidWorks x64 plugin to get Maxwell for Rhino working with Rhino V5 x64 WIP, be aware that the new x64 Maxwell for Rhino installer will not remove the SolidWorks plugin you installed. Having that plugin present should not hurt anything, but it would also not be a bad idea to uninstall the SolidWorks plugin prior to installing Maxwell for Rhino x64)

Hello all,

An obscure conflict has been found (thanks to Ricardo Amaral) between the Maxwell for Rhino plugin and the T-Splines plugin. I have compiled a modified plugin for those who need it and this can be downloaded here. This library adds no new functionality, so you should only download it if you need to. There is a readme.txt in the download which details what is required to use the modified library.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers,

JD

Hi Jeremy,
could you just in a few words explain what the patch does?

Thanks, Holger

Disregard, I've found the relevant thread in the Tsplines forum.

It's also in the readme in the zip. :)
