using untiled textures

I was wondering about the option not to tile textures:

what i would like to do:

I have a landscape with a big untiled matte on it, on that landscape i want to displace certain areas with a mapping not as big as the matte.

The palcing of this is rather difficult as the texture will repeat and displacement will go in areas it should not influence.

for any other layer it would be possible to creat a clip/weight map and mix it with the other bsdf, but since displacement affects all layers that is not possible, only clipping/hiding all layers works.

so i thought why not use the texture without tiling;

I would expect the area outside of the texture to be untouched or rgb 0,0,0 however that is not the case as edge pixel seem to be stretched towards the edge of the entire mesh.

*:idea: ... sometimes writing helps... :D

just created a black frame in on the displacement texture, seems to work now...
