Hmm.... What material shader are you using? Is there a UVW map on the object? Are you using a bump map? If you are using any images for texture or bump, what format?

Two things come immediately to mind. either you are using a non-RGB image for mapping or bumps, or your using something other than JPG's.

Could it be thes same as this one, that I posted on the Cinemaxwell forum?

http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2936

Maybe this is not as specific to Cinemaxwell as I thought...

Hope it helps

michaelplogue,

no map, no textures - just one object modelled with control points out of a sphere (object works fine in flamingo). the color applied is indifferent as i tested with several and received allways the same results...

kabe,

looks similar - could be the same problem, even if i didn't meet your results when trying with configuration of cubes with rounded edges. what exactly do you mean by this:
The Cinemaxwell plugin does not convert polygons correctly, that are facing a certain direction in their object space.

This happens to *all* objects with polygons facing -Z, excepts if they are facing -Z exactly.
