Maxwell Render | Official public forum

I have just downloaded the newest version of maxwell and the plugin for rhino, all of the maxwell tools appear in rhino but when I click on them it says Unknown command: _Maxwell_ToggleMaterialEditor for all of the commands, and maxwell does not appear when I look for it it Render> Current Render.

Anyone have any idea why this is?

P.s. I have rhino SR4

Maxwell studio is working and everything else.. its just the plug in for rhino

Hi Edward, have you tried loading the plugin manually? (I mean, inside of Rhino, using File > Properties > Rhino Options > Plug-ins > Install)

ok.. which file do i choose when i have done that?

it has to be rhp or dll and i cant see any of those in folders i downloaded

The plugin is named Maxwell.Rhino.dll, and it will be located wherever you specified when you ran the installer. If you do not remember where that is, you could use Add/Remove Programs to uninstall the plugin, then re-install it again. While you are installing, remember where you choose to install it, in case it does not auto-load the next time you start Rhino.

Just curious - did you find the location, or did you end up performing an uninstall/reinstall? If you reinstalled, was the plugin installed correctly in Rhino, or did you have to manually load it? Thanks...

I found the location and installed it manually through rhino.
