done a 360 thing in rhino and rendered it with maxwell automatically in series of frames as an experiment. Now I ve got these frames now numbered of course..... I guess I need software to put the frames into to make the animation?

Can anyone suggest good software for this? I mean something fairly cheap as I ll only be doing animations every now and again. Id like the animations to used on websites n all that. I ve flirted with flash on a mac a long time ago but now I am pc only.

any advice?

thanks,

Just recently completed animation myself...an inexpensive option is quicktime pro.

If you're looking for something free, it could be Blender (www.blender.org) and here's a tutorial:

Another free option could be APNG format which is rather fantastic for small 360 animations on the web:

I ll check out blender for that and quicktime pro. Got a new problem :

Just made a 360 degree revolving animation in rhino then got to render the sequence in maxwell. All was going well and done the 322 frames out of 350 total. Came back to my machine after some 5 hours rendering and it said runtime error maxwell closing. All the renders are of course saved as png but its now stopped. All the mxs files are saved and numbered so I thought I d just render them one by one but when they are opened and rendered the lighting is different I suppose because its maxwell and not rhino? I ve not altered the lighting in any way so I am not sure whats going on?

why was runtime switching in and what is it?

Is there a way out of this? Fed up now as I thought Id had it nailed.

help......................

You can re-start the animation render in MXCL:

- Start > All Programs > Next Limit > Maxwell > Maxwell Render
- File > Open, open one of the MXS files (shouldn't matter which one)
- in the Render Options tab, type 322-350 into the Animation > Frames box
- start rendering

As far as your lighting being different, I don't know any reason for this to happen - had you been adjusting the fStop/Shutter or changing Multilight values in MXCL while the animation was rendering before? MXCL doesn't know whether it was started by you or by the plugin, so there's no reason for a difference there.

Try Youtube, and embed it or link to it from here. I'd love to see it.

Which software did you use to put the fram together in the end?

think it will take some time to appear on u tube so I ll see it it loads then link it to here. Blender was the software that I put it together with in the end. I tell you what theres no way of working it out by yourself without that lesson from tom! Theres menus that are hidden that you d never even find! So step by step I followed it. I am not sure yet about the export option that I used... its come out as a AVI clip.

maybe its compatable with u tube maybe not.. there are so many export options that i ll have to just try a few.

Its only a simple animation thing for a specific job but its been very useful and enjoyable to do.

I ll update when and if it loads.... blenders real good I would recommend it and its free!
