JD, do you think I should overlay SR4 on top of SR3. Or should I be anal
and reinstall Rhino and install SR4?

Also, is MW going to need to update the plugin side because of SR4?

Hi Noah,

I don't personally see the need to uninstall/reinstall, upgrade seems to work fine here. As far as the plugin, SR4 should run the existing plugin just fine.

Cheers,

Thanks JD. I did notice that there are a LOT of bugs still in the SR4 RC2.
Today I believe was supposed to be the day that they put out the final
SR4 release. Kind of scary. Do you have it installed yet?

No, as far as I know it doesn't have any new features that I require, so I haven't messed around with the testing versions. I keep an eye on the Rhino newsgroup, and I didn't get the impression that there are alot of problems...what sort of things are you referring to?

Just pretty much every thread that has SR4 on it, someone has had
something to say about it. This not working or that not working.

I installed it yesterday with no problems. I run a pretty clean Rhino, only
have Rhino installed with Maxwell. No weird plug-ins, etc.

One thing I have notice so far, and I haven't had a chance to really use it
since installing the SR4. I can see/feel a speed increase in the GUI.

In the perspective view port, rotating, etc..
