rhino 4 texture mapping lost in mx studio

Whenever I apply a material with a map in Rhino and set the Rhino mapping widget to Planar, the setting is lost when I export to Studio.
Sometimes if I leave the mapping widget showing in Rhino it will transfer OK.
Any suggestions?

Don't export to Studio.
Actually, forget that smart-ass answer. I'm curious: what do you need to do in Studio that can't be done from Rhino via the plug-in?

does it render right from rhino?
if not , there could be an issue with mapping channels...
maybe this helps:

Yes, I am not sure exactly what you meant: are you saying that if you:
1. assign a mapped material
2. add a texture mapping
3. change the mapping to use planar projection
That if you then:
a. render from the plugin: looks correct in MXCL
b. open this MXS in Studio: looks different than it did in MXCL
Can you say which channels the Maxwell textures are using, and which mapping channel (if there are more than one) this planar mapping is using? If it is possible, I would like to see both the .3dm and the MXS files involved in order to determine how the MXS could be seen differently by Studio than MXCL.
Thanks,
JD

Problem solved.
The maxwell textures were mapped to channel 0 and rendered correctly from the Rhino viewport.
I changed the texture channels to 1 and everything is consistent now.
Thanks,
