Version 1.6.8 of the Maxwell for Rhino 4 plugin is now available. It addresses some issues including:
  • ● Camera Heads-Up Display not working properly with some video cards. It now looks just a bit less fancy, but it should operate much faster, and should also work just as well on any machine
    ● Full-Range Motion Blur was completely inoperative
    ● Camera Motion Blur was enabled for any animated Camera
    ● wrong page (Date & Time Settings) shown from the Camera Settings toolbar-button in the Scene Manager Shortcuts flyout
    ● there may be several views with the same name - sometimes the wrong one (i.e. not current) view would be rendered
    ● creating a Named View might cause two new cameras to be exported in the MXS
    ● a glitch with UI Font user-preference
    ● a.m. vs. p.m. Time of Day may not have been saved/read correctly depending on OS locale
Also, some new features have been added:
  • ● new command: Maxwell_PickFilmSizeRectangle (new button in the Camera toolbar) allows for setting the film size by picking a rectangle. This pretty much obsoletes the Render Region and Render Blow-Up functions
    ● new user-preference: MXI Auto-Naming. Similar to the recently-introduced MXS Auto-Naming option, except that this is meant to keep the MXI output filename in synchronization with whatever the MXS output is named. This is to keep things more organized when it comes to resuming renders, which is easier to do if those two files have equivalent names
    ● added a new item which opens the MXM Browser into the Scene Materials Browser context-menu
Will there be a Maxwell Render 6 ?
