rhinoll 0.5.5 - loss of all my scenes?

I'm trying to open some scene with rhinoll 0.5.1 properties... BUT.. rhino takes all the memory (over 1.6GB), slows down the computer and it;s impossible to complete openning the file

((((
This is VERY BAD. don't know how to solve this.
All new scenes are OK.

not yet. But I'll have to try that. I'll try import before gaming with plugins and renderers

so.. I've selected another renderer (rhino internal). Loading simple scene (two spheres).. Rhino ended with 'Windows is out of memory and Rhino will close after you click OK. You should restart your computer after Rhino exits'
and application error follows: instruction address 0x73d91351 references to memory address 0x00000004. cannot perform the 'read' operation
test2:
selected brazil renderer, open the same scene file. Message was:
'Loading Rhinoll, version 0.5.1 (Beta) - May 13 2005 17:23:45
Sorry but Rhinoll Data Chunk Version not compatible'
but scene openned.
test3:
left brazil and tried to open complex scene.. and.. computer freezes...
damn!

same here!

...the old scenes without maxwell materials opens perfectly, but old scenes with maxwell materials= memory problems=rhino crashes
edit: the only old scene Rhino let me open has strange numbers (1.345-e2345) in the bump, glossy, reflection values, and I can't render the scene untill I correct these values.
It also have "smilies" and strange symbols in the bump, glossy & reflection paths.

Import works the same way as Open.. so.. looking for someone who sends me Rhinoll 0.5.1 to continue in my work for clients

Same here.
Crashes and burns like crazy.
What to do is.
1 Rename the plugin (eg. Rhinoll.rhp1 )
2 Open Rhino and load each of your old scenes
3 Purge all plugin data (Use "-saveAs" --> pluginData=No)
4 Restore the Rhinoll.rhp name and start over from scratch with the materials.

No do not do that... you will loose all your layers and other stuff.
Use the "-saveas" from the command line.

I have send you an email with the previous version. After some years Rhinoman testing I allways store old plugin versions.

Hi,
I think I've isolated the cause. It has to do with materials being applied by Layer.
Try opening Rhino and unloading Rhinoll. Open a scene. Load new Rhinoll. Change all objects so that materials are applied by Plug-in and not Layer.
