Adam,

Why would you want to do that ? The perspective viewport name bug has been corrected. We can save views with any name and get back to them.

this is the simple way to have multiple camera views in one file - just to 'switch' them as you select the spotlight and perform the action as Adam described above. This doesn't have anything with the Perspective viewport render bug :)

oh, I see you are interested in the visual indicator for the camera (otherwise it is the same as using the "namedView" dialogue)

Anyway, I have a script for doing just that. Instead of lights, it can use any straight line in your model to as camera-target. Also it will extract a viewline for the current camera.
