Focal distance

I am having trouble getting my camera depth of field to behave properly. I show my camera in the viewport then put the target on the area of the object I want in focus. Things even a short distance away from my target area become to blurry though. Does anyone know how to control this with the rhino camera in the viewport, or is the a limitation of the alpha?

You might want to adjust the lens length in Viewport Properties. I forget which way (longer or shorter) increases/decreases dof.

Eric,

Some usefull info can be found here: http://www.metinseven.com/article_maxwe ... tricks.htm

Higher f/stop values reduce the bluriness of the DOF effect, but they also reduce light sensitivity (which means you will have to adjust the shutterspeed accordingly)
