I would like to know what will it cost? And can I try it first before I buy?

There is no demo version, the entire Maxwell product is not released yet. What you see is the results of the alpha testing phase.

I see that when I pre order I can use the alfa version, but does this obligate me to buy the product when it comes available?
I ask this because there is now price available yet and I really would like to try this renderer, but I do not want to be bound to a purchase of which I don’t know the price yet

Nico once you preorder now (pre-order price 395 or something) you do not have to pay for the full version once it is released. You transition into the full version from the inital pre order price you already made.

If you purchase now (at the 60% discounted price) you will receive the full version (when it comes out) at no extra cost.

The $395 cost includes the full version of Maxwell and any updates/service-releases for the months after; up to (but excluding) version 2.
