Improve render result - looking for advice

Hello,

I will be very happy if some of you could give advices how I can improve my renderings.
Here an example:
Image

The looking of the sky is ok for me, but the rest looks a bit too dark.
In this case I used a hdri-file, EV was 13.5.
If I go down with the EV-Value the sky will be too bright (and the rest will be better).

so for the moment I didn't find the right balance in the settings :(

You could try controlling the illumination intensity separate from that of the background, by explicitly assigning the HDRI image to the IBL > Illumination channel. This would allow you to balance between the camera EV, the overall illumination, and the background.
