Material ID for compositing/ color correcting in nuke

Hello,

I'm new to nuke and in advance sorry if the question is silly!

Can i use the material id layer to color correct certain part of an animation in nuke same as photoshop selection?
or what is the wor around to do that task?

Very sorry for the delay.

I guess you already solved the question, but I answer anyway ;)

You can use the "mxiMask" node of our plug-in to create an alpha mask (only if you have the original MXS scene. See http://support.nextlimit.com/display/ma ... components. If not, you can use a keyer to isolate the mask from the material id layer and use that mask to apply a color correction node.
