If I send an .mxi file to a client, can they (are they allowed to) open it with the right Photoshop plugin?

Or is the availability and use of that plugin restricted to licensed Maxwell users?

The plug-in is free, so anyone can register on our website for free (http://www.maxwellrender.com/try/suite), and download Maxwell Render Demo version, and any of our free plug-ins, included the Photoshop one.
