As soon as I hit fire GPU in MODO it crashes (Everytime without fail). Fire CPU works fine.
Rendering to GPU works fine too.
Windows 10 Pro 64Bit
Geforce GTX 970 4GB - NVIDIA Drivers : 373.06
MODO 902 SP3
UPDATE:
Adding Geometry to Modo while CPU Fire is running crashes MODO - If I launch Modo and then add a Sphere then click fire CPU everything is fine but as soon as I add a second geometry item while the fire CPU is running MODO crashes.
When running Maxwell.exe I get this pop up but before rendering starts - It proceeds to rendering just fine after the prompt
Monitor Res is 3440 x 1440

Hello,
It seems it crashes when no geometry is present.
But in case you have a scene with one sphere mesh.
- Does it crash with GPU?
- Does GPU crash also if you use maxwell physical sky environment?
- Does it crash after you delete the Directional Light item?
(By the way for the new plugin version I have added a CPU/GPU toggle button in FIRE)

Using a physical sky enviroment OR Deleting the Directional light item causes this error error without crashing:
GPU & CPU Fire (Plugin version is 4.0.0:
Next I added an area light and GPU fire started and could see phsical sky enviroment and then I added a sphere all was fine as soon as I added a second one it crash

Thanks for the test!
It seems the root of the problem is the empty Mesh object, that makes modo crash.

The new version of the plugin (4.0.1) should fix this issue.
