Hej,

i tried to have different multi light channels (for background image, illumination) but my setup won't work.
is it the right way , or am i missing something ? Seems the plugin used the exact name for both things, which ends up in only one multi light channel ?!..

Your images aren't working so I can't really tell what your setup is.

The way it sounds is your trying to use the same mxm for both?

If you want to use the exact same one but with two different channels at render...

Create the two materials in Modo. Then add mxm's to each. Then set the first one to the right mxm in the plugin. Then if you want to use the same mxm as the first material but on a different channel in the MXI, you need to select the second one and create a new mxm, then in the file explorer just duplicate the first one and rename it. Then select it.

They will be the exact same, but then render out two different channels.

Remember if you change one though, you will have to change the other one.

Hope that is what you are trying to do.

Hej Cody,

seems i can't like dropbox images directly. (open image in a new tab should still work, sorry for the annoying workaround :/)

i was talking about the environment material, but it's pretty much the same i did, expect i added the hdri images directly without mxm's.

shader tree looks like this:

environments
- background (Environment Item) ** set to background
--backgroundIMG (hdri image) (environment color)
- scene light (Environment Item) ** set to illumination, refraction, reflection
-- scene lightIMG ( hdri image) ( environment color)
