modo crash on mxm with large texture size (solved)

Hi Marton,

I'm going back to an unfinished project which is pre maxwell 3.0 and pre the new plug in . There are a lot of materials in the project , but three of them when enabled cause modo to crash when I go into modo's render viewport .
They are fine in the shader tree as long as I don't hit that tab, also they are also fine if I just export straight from modo to maxwell without again hitting that tab. The only thing I can see at the moment that they have in common is that they are all 8k texture maps.

When I do go into maxwell it asking me to find the first texture on one of the materials , once I point it to the correct texture all is fine . So I'm not sure if i have somehow broken the paths to the texture maps and that is causing a crash, or there is something wrong with the plugin when using large texture maps? Whilst I am in modo if I open one of the offending materials with the material editor via the plug in my textures are there and the paths are fine.
So I'm a little stumped at the moment on how to troubleshoot this further.
