triangle groups

Hi ,
this has been bugging me for a while now .Am I missing an option in my export settings from modo to maxwell? if I export a mesh which has multiple materials on it from modo to maxwell .In maxwell the mesh under objects just has one of those materials showing in the material list.If I import a mxm or create a new one and assign that to my mesh it is now covered with just one material it overides all materials on that mesh.In the object parameters there are no triangle groups so I either have to select triangles manually and create my own triangle groups. This is a pain and time consuming , maxwell is reading the triangles groups on import as if I change nothing maxwell will render the object with multiple assigned materials i created in modo.Where are they to select in maxwell? I would have expected them to automatically be in the triangle groups dialogue.Sorry for my ignorance on this : )
I know I can change the materials individually , but without a triangle group I can't use an imported/ embedded mxm on just part of my object.
edit: typical just figured it out : )
for anyone else who has this problem in the material list left click on your material select assigned triangles then got to Object at the top left in studio then choose group triangles name the group to what ever you want and it will appear in the triangle groups panel where you can drag and drop a material to it.
Would be nice if they just appeared automatically from modo to maxwell studio without having to do this though.
