But it has worked with the previous plugin version(Maxwell plugin for Modo R2 ver 2.51000) and with modo SP3. Am I right?
Have you tried to clear (or temporary move) the modo501.CFG file to check how it works with the default modo settings?

You are Correct it has worked in the past. I will remove the config file and see if that works. Marton removed the config file and it still crashes?

OK Marton I got it to work. I deleted the config file and reopened modo. Once inside modo I created a simple sphere and then via the plugin i opened it in studio, which it did! Then I Re-launched fire and it's now working.I will let you know if the problem crops back up. I do however have on question. I scaled the sphere but fire did not pick that up, I had to manually reload the scene in fire for it to see the change. Per the release notes i thought fire would automatically see this change?

If you scaled the sphere by its polygons, edges, or vertices, the fire window will need to be manually refreshed. But if you scaled the sphere in item mode, or translated/rotated it, that should be picked up.
Mesh operations where you actually move the points of the mesh are what requires a refresh.
And in regards to your crash error, I had to ditch my config file too, when I first stated using the new plugin. Modo likes to store a lot of stuff in that file, and every time you close modo, it appends more stuff to it.
I actually marked mine as read only just to prevent Modo from slowly filling the file.

Hello gadzooks,
If you still have the original modo config file, please send it to me, maybe I can read out the source of the FIRE crashes.
