Can't save an export scene in Studio

Hi all,

I am using the modo plugin and everything is working fine (so many thanks). As I am new to Maxwell, I am keen to jump into the Maxwell Studio and learn more - problem is, I can't seem to get a scene into Studio. Well, that is not strictly true, I can get it in by using the Export to Studio from the plugin, but once it is there I can't re-save it. I am receiving errors in the console regarding UVW's etc and the scene is unable to save.

How do I get around this? Is this something I am doing wrong or is it an issue with the modo plugin/Studio?

Best Regards,
Matt.

i am not using modo/plugin but i know that there is a "protect" option in the plugins which won't allow changes to the scene, or exporting as obj and such.

maybe it is enabled in your settings?

Hello Matt,

What is the problem exactly? There shouldn't be a problem to export the scene to Studio, do some tweaking there and re-save it.
Do you get an error message when you try to save it?

My procedure
1. I open scene in modo.
2. From modo plugin, i click 'open in maxwell studio'. This gives me about 24 warnings like '[Warning]: Texture: "Fractal Noise (6)" - Can't export with Solid projection mode! (Exported with Cubic projection...)'. Scene opens fine within Studio.
3. Save As from Studio... fills console with errors, 'Error saving scene: object.setTriangleUVW: Invalid U Value'. Message box appears saying scene cannot be saved.

Please not that this is an old scene I am working on, not a new scene. As a test I created a new scene and made a simple cube with a material and this exported fine and saved fine, so it must be something within that old scene. Any ideas of what it could be so I can kill it off. I'm guessing UV issue?!

Best Regards,
Matt.
