BUG - Mac OSX version of plugin

Every time I try and change the light material in modo by clicking the Maxwell material + button I get a BIG crash.

Means that everything rendered from modo has no light source.

You mean you can't export light materials at all?

Can you explain a bit more please? I have just tried making a light material and edit it/render it and it works fine.

I have an emitter, a physical sky and a direct light. All work fine.

Within Modo - I choose the direct light icon and turn on physical sky. I set the time and city. I then click on light material (under directional light) and click `material +` in the maxwell dialogue box....... BOOM. Every time.

If you turn on the physical sun parameter a directional light object in modo, it is no use to change its light material, because the exporter handles the light as a Physical Sky sun parameter, and not as an emitter object.

But still it shouldn't crash the program. Do you have the same crash when you click on the Material + button of the normal (not light) materials?

My second question: do you use other custom UI config files for modo? (custom UI elements, other plug-in US configs?)

OK - sorry. It does crash but it has no meaning on the workflow. Anyway, I think it was a different issue. From Modo the paths to the mxm files were messed up. It seems going to studio is the safest route right now as from within modo there are a lot of instabilities.

Thanks for your help.

Our aim is to extend the plug-in capabilities to reach all the Maxwell features from inside modo without Maxwell Studio.

If you find inconveniences (for example what you experienced with messed up mxm file path), please share with us, so we can improve it.

Thanks!
