Hi Modoers, kinda never done any compositing before, and I want some decent looking grass for a scene I'm working on, is it easy to get acceptable results rendering grass in modo and compositing this into a maxwell render? OK so i render out an alpha channel for my modo fur render, how do I deal with shadows and reflections? Any tips appreciated

Cheers

Hello!

You can try with spherical camera and save the render as hdri, so you can use this image
as IBL in M~R.

Thanks ceggi, I dont think thats quite what I'm after, i wanted to render a poly plane with modo fur(grass preset) and composite that into a maxwell render.

Cheers

Brett... use paint replicators to paint your gras blades on your terrain.. then use that script to eport them as instances to Maxwell.. and voilĂ ...
