I can open all the standalones fine but I get the following error when trying to export my scene from Modo to studio:

"Plug-in can't write into the export folder. Check the available freespace on your storage and set the appropriate permission for the folder"

Where is that folder located and what should I do once I find it?

This problem is only under OSX (snow leopard)on my laptop. My desktop which runs Vista-64 under bootcamp runs fine.

Hi Krotala

add a 'Default Export' folder in the 'Modo friend Maxwell' folder in library / application support / luxology.

it's mentioned in this thread:

Hmm ok, first time I have used the plugin, I have a Default Export folder in:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Luxology\Maxwell plugin for Modo\Default Export

and the modo plugin tells me: Plug-in can't write into the export folder! Check the available free space on your storage and set the appropriate permission for the folder.

So I right click on the "Maxwell plugin for Modo" folder go to security tab and click on users group and click edit and allow full control and modify. All is good now, I'm so used to exporting my scenes to studio with the mm_Maxwell_Export script this is gonna be wierd, one thing I noticed is that all the layers are imported as one object, is there a way around this? Pretty sick of adding differently named materials to do this

Cheers

each mesh item should appear as a separate item in the exported mxs in studio ...does this not happen?

Yes it does sampson, but if I have 50 concrete pylons they're a little hard to adjust UV's etc, guess I have to change my workflow

Cheers
