I really don't know much about them, even with modo but ran a few tests and it looks like they won't work with maxwell. Would this ever be possible?

You mean modo proxies, right?

That is an area in modo which changes a lot under the hood. If it becomes more stable I will check again what is the possibility with the export.

Yeah Modo proxies. I am not too worried because I finally have a rather high end gfx card but would be still cool to work on models externally and have them update internally. If that makes sense.
