Separate from actually controlling the color, I still get very poor results for both Material ID and Object ID settings from Z to Maxwell. All to often the material or object colors chosen by the program are the same and make post render selections in Photoshop impossible.

I just ran a simple 2 cube test, applied different form Z colors to each cube, turned on both Material ID and Object ID and rendered. The 2 colors chosen for Material ID were identical (should be different) and the 2 colors chosen for Object ID were identical (should be different).

This thread touches on some of the potential problem. Would be great if someone could port or write JD's app to a MAC.

Relative to the above thread, on the simple 2 cube file, I created 2 new MXM's in 2.5 and re-rendered. This did fix the Material ID problem but not the Object ID problem.
