when selecting the following settings in the formz-plugin (2.0.1.3):

. . direct layer: true
. . indirect layer: true
. . direct caustic reflection layer: true
. . direct caustic refraction layer: true
. . indirect caustic reflection layer: false
. . indirect caustic refraction layer: true

.... maxwell exports me these settings into the mxi file (2.0.3)

Thanks for your report. This has been fixed for the next release of the plugin. (We also improved the GUI here to make the 'render layers' options a little clearer.)
