Hi,

I've installed plugin V3.0.10 for Sketchup 2014.
I'm experimenting some problems:
- Material previews are not stored. When I change the selected material, the preview is always empty.
- When I try to define an HDRI Emitter, I can’t choose an HDRI file. I click on the folder icon, then I choose a file, the file selector is closed but the file is not selected in the material.

I’ve try with Sketchup V8 and V7 and these problems do not happen.

I was a bit worried about that; SU2014 changes how things are handled with text encoding, and I suspect that will be the problem here. I may be able to fix it quickly -- let me make a change, and upload another build.

Just a few questions;
What is the tool "object properties" for. If I click it a windows pops up without functionality. I can't seem to find the manual for this one.
There used to be a rather detailed pdf file for the manual. Is this one replaced by the online one. That's ok, but it looks like it gives less info.

Yes, the plugin documentation has been moved online, and the Object Properties window is described here -- it shows properties for the currently-selected objects, and is greyed out when there is no object selected.

Please try the 3.0.11 build I just uploaded. I believe the problem was due to non-ASCII characters in your user account name.

ok, thanks. But the Objetc Properties is greyed out regardless of any or not selected geometry.
That is on my system:
OSX 10.7.5

The 3.0.11 plugin works well with Sketchup 2014.

The object properties window only shows information when a group or a component is selected. Is it its normal behaviour ?

Yes, that is correct, because there are no per-face properties. Francois, which version of the plugin are you running, and which version of SketchUp?

I just updated to your latest beta 3.0.11. Now Object Properties works. It didn't before on 3.0.10 on groups or components.

Hmm, checking 3.0.10 here, it seems to have been working fine. It would be possible on OSX to create a scenario where the window could temporarily be unresponsive, and that would be by switching from one document to another, without moving the view at all. In that case, the plugin does not yet know that you are working with the new document, and has not yet moved its event-listeners from the previous one.

Could be that. I can't reproduce it anymore after the update.

Although when you go inside a group and select grouped geometry and then click object prop. the window pops up greyed out. Clicking the group again ungreyes it. No problem really.
