Does anyone know why I'm seeing this error?

I have installed Maxwell Render to Sketchup 2013 version

Error as shown below

'The MXS exporter has failed'
-a corrupt Sketchup model
-a corrupt or missing MXS exporter
- insuffient OS write permissions
- running a free version of Sketchup[/b]

Would you like to try again, using the Ruby exporter?

Using the Ruby exporter does seem to work; however, is this as efficient as the Next Limit exporter?

Thanks everyone.

To clarify, both are Next Limit exporters, they are just written in different languages, with the Ruby one being the slower of the two. That aside, a likely cause for this error would be that the c++ exporter is missing or Has become corrupt. if you are on windows, the file is Skp2Mxs.dll, in the SketchUp Exporters directory, while on Mac OSX it is named Skp2Mxs.plugin, and is located at SketchUp.app/Contents/Plugins. So please check for that file, and also that you are using the most recent plugin, linked in a post at the top of this section of the forum.

Thank you! I didn't see the latest exporter at the top of the section; it worked like a charm! Why isn't this being hosted at Next Limit?

Thanks again!
